Artist residence

BRUSHWORK has been asked to provide samples and product advice for an artist in East London.

Unhappy with the application of a rustic lime plaster finish from his contractor, we were contacted with the brief to give this 2-storey extension a finish that works with the textures of the lime plaster but covers the strange colouration of the surface.

Lime plaster is breathable and we wanted to continue with a breathable eco-friendly finish.

We provided a handful of options from the breathable range at Edward Bulmer Paint, but we're really pushing for a wash of natural lime paint we source from Cornwall.

We have begun with a loose sample process. We guided the artist who applied the options himself and await his decision.....
